Indie-Life Media created an original line of merchandise
to increase the public profile of Philly’s WinterFest–
and boost profits.
Winterfest at the Blue Cross RiverRink has become one of Philadelphia’s most successful efforts to cultivate the city’s waterfront property, and Indie-Life was proud to be involved in the project. The RiverRink was once just a roller-skating rink with little more than a parking lot nearby. Now it’s transformed each winter into a wonderland for tourists and locals alike, complete with ice-skating, a sparkling holiday tree, a restaurant and a Kids’ Lodge. Blue Cross of Pennsylvania, in association with the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation, needed local know-how to help launch Winterfest and keep it running smoothly. Indie-Life Media was on hand to provide the RiverRink with:
- Specially created hoodies in 3 colors with original branding design
- Onsite staffing to provide guest assistance and services
- Offsite promotion via guerrilla marketing
- Costumed event staff–Santa and his Elves–to serve guests of all ages
Winterfest at the RiverRink was a great opportunity for Indie-Life to showcase our unique strengths: we are able to connect talented individuals–ranging from graphic designers to event promoters to service staff–with corporate clients, blending the independent freelancer’s spirit with the professionalism of industry leaders, and understanding the needs of both.
